About The Crew

Mike Agiovlasitis, Jr. serves as crew for both our inshore and offshore trips. Mike has worked aboard the Sea Devil for eight years and is as professional and courteous as you will find. Mike is a tremendous fisherman and is only satisfied when he helps you reach your goal of landing that fish. He sincerely enjoys assisting customers and instructing them on the best way to catch a fish and has much fun doing this. In addition to his fishing expertise, he is an expert at cleaning and filleting the fish. Mike is certain to add enjoyment to your day of fishing aboard the Sea Devil.

When Mike is not working on the Sea devil he attends college, pursuing a degree in public accounting. He also fishes with Tommy Russell, aboard Tom’s boat, the Last Penny.

Matt Hauke is another professional and friendly part of our crew who enjoys snowboarding in the winter months.

He has much patience and enjoys working with the customers, helping you to catch the bluefish and striped bass on our daily inshore fishing trips. Matt started with us in the 2006 season and with Mike jr., they form an unbeatable team on deck.

Chris Mackin and Jeff work aboard the Sea Devil when extra help is needed. They are both professional, courteous and have fun helping you to have an enjoyable day, catching fish aboard the Sea Devil.

Mike Agiovlasitis, Sr. has many years as an experienced fisherman, first fishing in his native country, Greece. He is part of our courteous and professional offshore tuna fishing crew and you will have a difficult time finding someone who is as skillful or works as diligently as Mike. Mike came aboard the Sea Devil as a customer during the mid-eighties hey-day of tuna fishing, fishing with Tommy Russell. His talents were put to best use when he became a part of our crew. He is simply the best when it comes to helping you to catch a tuna, get it on the boat and clean and fillet it to your requests. Mike is also the most talented foreign car technician in the area and owner of Mikes Imports, Point Pleasant Beach.

In addition to being a top notch experienced fisherman, Captain Tommy Russell has the most fun working with the customers, helping you to catch tuna on an offshore fishing trip. He will be sure to entertain you and keep the trip filled with laughter. When it is time to reel in that tuna, however, he is as serious as can be and will go the extra mile to be sure to help you land that fish! Tom originally came aboard the Sea Devil in the mid-eighties as a customer, fishing with Mike Agiovlasitis. Tom’s talents were quickly recognized and we took him on as a regular part of the offshore crew. When not working aboard the Sea Devil, Captain Tom operates his boat, the Last Penny. He fishes commercially for blackfish, bluefish and tuna.

Captain John Schaible is an experienced boat captain and fisherman. He is part of our professional and courteous offshore tuna fishing crew. Besides being an expert fisherman, John is a terrific snowboarder and spends his winters as a snow board instructor in Colorado. When John is not working aboard on a Sea Devil offshore trip, he can be found as boat captain on charter boats in Point Pleasant Beach.

Captain John Chiavarini serves as crew on our offshore NJ tuna trips. He has worked aboard the Sea Devil for many years as part of our professional and experienced offshore crew. Captain John started as a customer of the Sea Devil, occasionally fishing with Tom Russell and Mike Agiovlasitis. John came on as a part of the crew shortly after Tom and Mike were hired. When not working aboard the Sea Devil he can be found as boat Captain on charter boats in Point Pleasant Beach.
